A common fault on the Volvo V70 III is poor rear bushes.

The rubber releases in the vulcanization and sets off sideways.

So you can pull them out by hand.

Special rigging to access without disassembling the entire rear axle.

So I pull out the saw to split the steel sleeve.

A couple of new bushings.

Some special tools in the usual order.

Then the press tool goes up into the jack so you I not have to hold it by hand.

Then just straighten things out and start pushing in the bushing.

The tool ensures that the bushing stops in the right place.

Then I screw it in, unfortunately the rust has made other things look miserable.

So now it's good for a few miles again.
