Cimier Petite Seconde Venom

The Cimier company had been founded in 1924 by the watchmaker R. Lapanouse in Hölstein.

At the 50's the company was produced 5000 watches each day. In the start of the 80's did the

company sold out the production and their machines to a competitor and in 1984 was it time to

close one of the largest Swiss watch manufactures. In 2003 was it time to start it up again and

here I will try to show their new limited model: Cimier Petite Seconde Venom.

This watch was done as a collaboration between Cimier and  the swiss national team former goalkeeper

Jörg Stiel. The Cimier Petite Seconde Venom is a 43 mm black PVD finished steel case with sapphire crystal

on the front and back of the watch. Inside the watch is the all to common ETA Unitas 6497 manually wound

movement. While a very simple movement, it is hardy and reliable, and cleans up pretty nicely when decorated.

Here Cimier gave the movement a nice black finish. The watch is limited to 200 pieces.

Lets start to take a look at the package it will come with.

A nice outer box with the Cimier logo at the top.

And a even nicer inner box made of wood.

This aren't bad.

Warranty papers in the box too.

And a polishing cloth too.

Lets take a closer look at the watch.

It was the design that made me fall in love at the first sight.

The yellow against the black really stand out, the crown at 4 o'clock position.

A nice little option behind the second hand, a "Sunbeam" pattern.

The strap is genuine python.

The clasp are PVD finished too.

The ETA Unitas 6497 manually wound movement looks good in black finish.

Notice the Cimier logo at the movement.

I really like this one.
