The package is here.

Inside it says Omega.

Maybe not so bad, it looks like a nice wodden box.

Damn, I don't dare to open it, the only I see it some grey leather that smells good and is something that shines on the inside when I lift the lid a little.

Oh no just another Omega Limited Edition.

If you haven't figure it out, here it is: A factory fresh Omega Speedmaster CK2998. The blue and silver panda dial really works on this model.

I fell in love with this one in Basel and I try to order one direct but was told they was already sold out before the fair was open. I talk to a few dealers about it and they
told me they didn't know if they wll get any. It's a limited edition only made in 2998 pieces. It hit the market in July at Omega Boutiques and we don't have any in
Sweden so I have to wait until August when they hit the Omega AD. I have no luck because there was only a few watches for the Swedish market and no one of
those was for me. So I start the search all around the European countrys and finally find one in Italy that not was priced over the top like the most I found for sale.

This is the best looking reissued Speedmaster IMHO even if there is not a model that looks exactly like this one. The first Speedmaster was released in 1957 and
the CK2998 was released in 1959 and was out of production in 1962.

The alpha hands was for the first time on a Speedmaster at the original CK2998 model and this was even the first Omega Speedmaster in space, Mr Wally Schirra
have his personal CK2998 on his wrist when he went to space with the
Mercury Atlas 8 mission in the Sigma 7, October 3rd, 1962.

There was a straight secondhand or a lollipop secondhand, a black dial and a black bezel at the original version. IMHO so have Omega made a very appealing modern version of
the CK2998 with the blue dial, lollipop secondhand and the blue ceramic bezel with Luminova. The case is 39,7mm so it's smaller than the current Speedmaster.

Behind the solid backcase there is a manual Omega Calibre 1861 movement with 18 jewels and 21,600 bph, power reserve of 48 hours and it's not the same calibre that was at the original CK2998 that have calibre 321.

The movement.

There is no crownguards and a good size of the crown with the Omega logo. Water resistant to 50 meter.

A blue leather strap with beige stitching and a polished buckle with a Omega logo.

The full set.

A wet shot.

Time for some work.

A  fresh bracelet.

A few macro.

Under the UV light

Normal green Luminova

And finally a wristshot.

With bracelet.
