It starts in a little town in Germany.

It's nice with still the old streets since the old time when this part was eastern Germany.

Sometimes you still run into the old untouched buildings.

And those I haven't seen since I was a kid.

So we getting closer to the hotel and it looks better.

There was a school under construction named after a swedish childrens author. What a great idea.

Then we find the nice little hotel.

Me and my wife got the suite.

If you haven't figure it out where we is so maybe this will help.

It's 50 years anniversary at Dornblüth & Sohn.

We where early, so there was time to take a roundtrip at the factory.

So lets get inside.

Some watches in the showroom.

There is swede´s that can too. :-)))

This is where the watches are assembled.

The machines are at the first floor.

Now there are getting a few more peoples.

And the show can begin. Dirk and his wife Anja give us a warm welcome.

There will be something new behind the white covers.

Mayor Karsten Ruth begins with a speech.

Then Dirk's father Dieter was the next speaker.

The Dornblüth team now will get a anniversary present from the company.

Of course the retired Dieter will get one too and he is touched by the moment.

I take one too. :-)))

Then it was time to release the covers.

And proudly present the new model Quintus.

Quintus means fifth, the fifty years anniversay and the fifth caliber from Dornblüth & Sohn.

A new inhouse movement with a 2 barrels construction in series and a interlock device which

can clearly be noticed when the watch is fully wound to make sure it's not been overwounded..

The watch will come in 38mm diameter without crown.

We all wish the Dornblüth Team good luck with the new watch.

The factory will need some more space and the work has already began.

The ceremony of laying the foundation stone starts with Dirk reading a verse.

Then the copper tube will be filled up.

With a newpaper from today, a architectural drawings and a few coins.

Then it becomes soldered together.

And placed inside one of the building blocks.

We just want to thanks the Dornblüth Team for a wonderful day and a very nice events and the great food.

Jocke and Katarina
